By Troutman Sanders, which advised of Canada’s Cynapsus Therapeutics on its $635 million purchase by Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, a unit of Japan’s Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co. The Troutman Sanders team consisted of, among others, James Schutz, Jeff Banish and Seth Ford.

For King & Spalding, where former chief legal officer of Piedmont Healthcare, Jay Mitchell, joined as senior counsel. Mitchell’s practice will focus on health system combinations, regulatory compliance and governance. 

For Nelson Mullins, where Brandi Knox joined as of counsel. Knox focuses her practice on immigration law, including employment-based, family-based and naturalization.
