Holland & Knight partner Charles Tobin is defending CNN in a libel suit stemming from its investigation of child deaths following cardiac surgery at a Florida hospital. Tobin is a former in-house lawyer for Gannett Co. and heads Holland & Knight’s national media practice team.

Intellectual property firm Finnegan has relocated its Atlanta office from SunTrust Plaza downtown to Atlantic Station in Midtown. The firm, which has 26 lawyers in Atlanta, is now located in the BB&T Tower at 271 17th St. N.W.

For E. Terrell Gilbert Jr., formerly a partner in Arnall Golden Gregory’s corporate and securities and corporate governance practice, who has gone in-house at Beazer Homes as assistant general counsel of securities and finance.

For FordHarrison, where Patrick Ouzts joined from Gregory Doyle. His practice focuses on helping human resource leaders and in-house lawyers with employment-related issues, including employee discipline and discharge, accommodations and leave, allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and policy review.

For Burr & Forman, which announced the addition of Erin C. Hewitt to the firm’s real estate and corporate and tax groups. She previously served as in-house counsel for a publicly traded real estate investment trust, where she spent six years working on corporate and real estate transactions and financings.

For Sutherland’s Christopher Chan, who received the Judge Alvin T. Wong Pioneer Award from the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association. The award is the highest honor given by GAPABA, recognizing Chan for his outstanding achievements, dedicated service and paving the way for Asian Pacific American attorneys.

For Arnall Golden Gregory’s Sandra Z. Zayac, who was awarded the 2016 CREW Network Impact Award for Economic and Community Improvement for her work on the Mercedes-Benz headquarters relocation project.
