For BakerHostetler, where Ron Gaither joined as a partner from Schiff Hardin. Gaither brings with him clients including the Atlanta Braves, where he serves as one of the Braves’ primary outside litigation counsel.
Big Law Honors
For Kilpatrick Townsend’s Rho Thomas, who was named to Literacy Action’s board of trustees. The nonprofit offers basic education to adults.
For Ballard Spahr‘s Stefanie Jackman, who was named to Collection Advisor‘s list of the 25 Most Influential Women in Collections. Jackman represents financial services institutions—including debt collectors—counseling them on compliance, advising them during government investigations, and defending them in individual and class action lawsuits.
For Troutman Sanders and King & Spalding, which won Impact Awards last week from the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta for their pro bono work in the community. Troutman Sanders won the Skills-Based Volunteerism Award for a partnership with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society that assists veterans in the Atlanta VA Hospital’s palliative care unit with civil legal needs, such as wills. King & Spalding won the Corporate Volunteer Program of the Year Award for companies with fewer than 999 employees.
